Room acoustics
Welcome to my acoustics website. I would like to present the main area of my activities in the special field of room acoustics to you.
In the section knowledge you will find an abridged version of the lecture I held for building physics students at the Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences some years ago in my capacity as an assistant lecturer.
The calculators were especially designed for integration into websites of customers from the industry and media. They facilitate, for example, the acoustical design of rooms according to DIN 18041 and ÖNORM B 8115-3, or sound insulation planning according to DIN 4109 and SIA 181. They also help to determine the best position for stereo and surround loudspeakers in a listening room. The calculators’ databases contain more than 150 different acoustic ceilings, 100 walls, and 500 loudspeaker models.
